The IIT UCEED is an entrance examination for the Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) program offered by IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IITDM Jabalpur. Every year, IIT Bombay conducts this exam for students from all fields to develop their careers by pursuing their studies at IIT. This exam has a high level of competition, so simply taking the test does not guarantee admission. It is necessary for candidates to follow the admission process prescribed by IIT Bombay. Some of the top design colleges accept UCEED scores, including Pearl Academy, Srishti Manipal, Chandigarh University, Woxsen University, Presidency University, IIAD, and UPES. In order to get admission to other institutes, candidates must check their eligibility criteria for the programme and the admission process of the institute.
These exams cover 'visualization and spatial ability', 'observation and design sensitivity', 'environmental and social awareness', 'analytical and logical reasoning', 'language and creativity', 'design thinking and problem solving', and 'drawing'. It is possible for the syllabus to change from time to time. English is the medium of the exam, which lasts for three hours. It consists of two parts, Part-A and Part B, which together contribute 300 points. Computers are used for Part A, while pen and paper are used for Part B. It is mandatory to complete both sections. Scorecards for UCEED are valid for one year, and seats are allocated to candidates based on their rank.
