WHAT IS NID MAINS TEST ?

NID Mains test is the Second round of Exam Conducted by National Institute of Design. Candidates Shortlisted after First round of NID PRELIMS EXAM are invited to appear for second stage of the exam in one of NID campuses located in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kurukshetra, Jorhat and Vishakhapatnam.

All About NID

The National Institute of Design (NID) consists of a group of autonomous public design universities in India, with the first one established in Ahmedabad in 1961. Additional NIDs are located in Kurukshetra, Gandhinagar, Vijayawada, Jorhat, Bangalore, and Bhopal.

These institutions operate independently under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. They are recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research in the Ministry of Science and Technology as scientific and industrial research organizations. According to the National Institute of Design Act, 2014, these universities are classified as Institutes of National Importance.
